Back in 2020 when Covid hit, Kim came up with the idea of starting a lash business from home. In 2021, Lelei Lashes officially launched selling magnetic lashes online — what began as a small passion project quickly grew through Kim’s love for beauty, creativity, and helping others feel confident.

Over the next few years, her passion for lashes and the beauty industry continued to grow. In late 2022, Kim completed her lash extension training before opening a small home lash studio in early 2023. Through dedication, attention to detail, and genuine care for her clients, that small home salon slowly grew into something much bigger.

By August 2023, Lelei Lashes officially closed so the focus could fully shift into lash extensions, beauty services, and growing the dream even further.

Later that year, Kim travelled to Vietnam where she discovered the Authentic Vietnamese Head Spa — a traditional wellness treatment known for its deep relaxation and restorative benefits. Inspired by the healing experience and family traditions behind it, she returned to New Zealand determined to bring something unique to Ashburton.

In May 2024, Lelei Beauty Spa officially opened — becoming the first salon in Ashburton to introduce the Vietnamese Head Spa experience. 

​

Today, Lelei Beauty Spa has grown into a welcoming beauty and wellness space offering lashes, brows, nails, and our signature Vietnamese Head Spa treatments.
