Linh’s Story: From Saigon to Ashburton — The Experienced Hands Behind Our Head Spa
Behind every relaxing head spa experience is a person with their own story, years of practice and a passion for caring for others.
Today, we'd love to introduce you to Linh, one of our experienced massage and head spa therapists at Lelei Beauty Spa.
Before joining our team in Ashburton, Linh had already spent years building her career in Vietnam, developing her skills in massage, head spa treatments and traditional Vietnamese therapeutic techniques.
A family dream: Mộc Linh Spa
In 2021, Linh took a big step in her career by opening her own spa in Saigon, Vietnam, called Mộc Linh.
It was a family business run by just four sisters, working side by side to build something of their own. Together, they shared their skills, looked after their clients and turned their passion for the spa industry into a business.
Mộc Linh was an important chapter in Linh's journey. It gave her the experience of running a business while continuing to develop her hands-on skills as a therapist.
But like many small businesses, the COVID-19 pandemic brought unexpected challenges. Linh eventually had to close Mộc Linh.
Although closing her own business wasn't the outcome she had hoped for, it wasn't the end of her journey.
Continuing her journey in Saigon
After closing Mộc Linh, Linh continued pursuing her passion by taking a position at another spa in Saigon.
There, she continued gaining professional experience and refining her massage techniques. Her journey gave her opportunities to keep learning, working with clients and developing the practical skills she brings to her treatments today.
For Linh, her career has been built through hands-on experience, dedication and a genuine interest in helping people feel relaxed and cared for.
The art of traditional Vietnamese therapeutic massage
One of the things Linh brings to Lelei Beauty Spa is her knowledge of traditional Vietnamese massage, including hands-on acupressure techniques.
In Vietnamese, therapeutic treatments are often described as trị liệu. Depending on the technique, these treatments may incorporate pressure applied to particular areas of the body as part of a massage experience.
This is where experience matters. Learning to use the hands with the right pressure, rhythm and sensitivity takes practice.Linh relies on her hands rather than an array of massage tools, drawing on the techniques she has developed throughout her career. Her approach brings a personal, hands-on element to our treatments, always with the client's comfort in mind.
From four sisters in Saigon to our team in Ashburton
Linh's journey has taken her from building a family business with her sisters to continuing her career in the spa industry and sharing her skills here in New Zealand.
